The full name of the product "Polyaspartic" is "Polyaspartic Ester Polyurea". It comprises two components, A and B. Component A is polyaspartic ester resin, and Component B is isocyanate curing agent. These components are individually sealed and packaged, mixed uniformly on-site in a specific ratio, exhibit low viscosity, and cure rapidly.

 

Introduction to Polyaspartic

Polyaspartic ester is a new type of aliphatic, slow-reacting, high-performance coating material in the polyurea industry, known as the third generation of polyurea. It is a novel two-component, relatively slow-curing, highly weather-resistant polyurea material. This technology has nearly 15 years of application history in European and American markets and 7 years in the Chinese market. The chemical reaction principle of polyaspartic ester polyurea:

Reaction Activity: Hydroxyl group < Secondary amine group < Primary amine group

Polyaspartic successfully addresses issues associated with spray polyurea systems such as overly rapid reaction rates leading to difficulty in control, poor adhesion, and dependence on large equipment. It also overcomes the shortcomings of traditional polyurethane coatings, including inability to cure at low temperatures, sensitivity to humidity, and the need for baking equipment for curing.

 

Product Composition

Component A: Polyaspartic resin

The structure of polyaspartic resin, containing secondary amine groups. Its reactivity and physical properties vary according to changes in X and R.

Component B: Isocyanates (HDI trimer/IPDI, HMDI prepolymer)

The HDI trimer series, due to its aliphatic properties and cyclic structure, exhibits:

  • Exceptional UV resistance and weatherability (non-yellowing with excellent gloss retention)
  • Chemical and solvent resistance
  • Excellent appearance

The HDI trimer polyisocyanate, with its high transparency and very light color, is ideal for producing attractive and durable polyurethane varnishes and topcoats.

  • Suitable for ISO Class 1 cleanrooms
  • Solvent-free, impermeable, environmentally friendly
  • High solids content, long-lasting appearance, non-toxic, zero VOC emissions, vivid colors, strong decorative properties
  • Strong adhesion, non-yellowing, excellent weather resistance
  • Available in flexible and rigid formulations; no cracks or deformation after application
  • Humidity must be below the dew point during application, and the construction environment must be dry
